Facts

Voices Against Violence offers yearlong support groups based on needs and requests in the community. These groups combine communication techniques, skills for building self esteem and enhancement of personal growth.

The Pattern Changing Support Group is a 15-week group for women who have experienced abuse. This groups provides a focus on their life-long patterns, and techniques and skills for changing these patterns. This group is a closed group and does not allow admittance once a group has started. The group meets once a week.

Voices will be offering a new support group called Journey to Hope in the fall of 2006. This group is for graduated participants from the Pattern Changing group. It will be a closed group. Once patterns have changed addressing the inner-being through self exploration awareness is critical in developing long-term relationships.

Voices is also currently running an open support group for women. This group offers women an opportunity to develop their uniqueness as individuals and to clarify what they do and do not want in their lives. The group is also a place for women to meet other women who have similar experiences, and allow them to develop a support system in the community.
